Find a cleaner in Kingston, NY

Tell us about the job. We'll pass it to one vetted local cleaner whose primary town matches yours — not a list of five companies who all call you at once. It's free for homeowners.

Request a cleaner

How the matching works

  1. You send a short request. Your town, the kind of work, and a couple of lines about the job.
  2. We read it and pick one cleaner. Hudson Ally locks one provider per service per town (their primary town). They may also cover a small neighboring delivery area (~15–20 min). Your request goes to the provider whose primary town matches yours — never to two locked providers. They keep the lock only as long as they answer leads quickly and follow through on estimates.
  3. They contact you to set up an estimate. The price and the job are between you and them. Hudson Ally never quotes, does the work or takes payment from you.

If we don't have a cleaner covering your part of Ulster County yet, we'll tell you so honestly instead of sending you to someone from outside the area.

Cleaners in Kingston: what's worth knowing

Kingston's housing mix runs from the Stockade and Rondout (older plaster walls, narrow stairs, multi-story homes) to Midtown two-families and rentals, plus houses out in the Town of Ulster, Lake Katrine, Hurley, Port Ewen and Rosendale. Older interiors hold dust in trim and radiators; pets and kids change how long a clean takes. Tell us the size of the place and whether it's a deep clean or a regular tidy.

Landlords turning over Midtown and near-downtown units often need a one-time move-out clean on a deadline. Say whether the unit is empty, whether carpets need special attention, and how the cleaner should get keys. Recurring homeowner cleans (weekly or biweekly) are a different request — label which you want.

Supplies, pets, parking and buildings with no elevator all affect the quote. Mention stairs, pets, and whether you prefer the cleaner to bring products. If you need green or fragrance-free products, write that in the details.

Questions to ask any cleaner before you sign

Whoever you hire, through us or not, these questions will help you compare estimates.

Are you insured (and bonded, if you offer that)?
Ask for general liability. If they have employees, ask about New York workers' compensation and disability. Bonding isn't required everywhere, but it matters when someone will be alone in your house — ask what's covered and get it in writing.
Do you bring supplies and equipment, or use mine?
Either is fine. Just know which one, whether green/unscented products are available, and whether vacuuming, mopping and bathrooms are always included.
Is this a one-time clean or a recurring schedule?
Weekly, biweekly, monthly and move-in/move-out cleans are priced differently. Say which you want in your request so the cleaner quotes the right job.
Who will be in my home, and how do you handle keys or access?
Ask how many people typically come, whether the same crew returns for recurring visits, and how keys, lockboxes or landlord access are handled.
What's included — and what's extra?
Inside ovens, fridge, windows, laundry, basement/garage and heavy organization often cost extra. Get a written list so two quotes mean the same thing.

New York law requires a written contract for home improvement jobs over $500, including a notice of your right to cancel within three business days (General Business Law, Article 36-A). Don't start work on a handshake.

Common questions

Does it cost me anything?

No. It's free for homeowners. The provider may pay Hudson Ally a referral fee, and they won't charge you for the referral.

Will you send my request to several cleaners?

No. Your request goes to one cleaner who covers the Kingston area, and only after you've ticked the consent box.

What if you don't have anyone for my area yet?

We'll tell you so. We won't pass your request to someone who doesn't work the Kingston area just to fill a slot.

Do you give the estimate?

No. Hudson Ally is a referral service. The cleaner gives the estimate, and the price and the job are between you and them.

Can I set up a recurring schedule?

Yes — say so in your request (weekly, biweekly, monthly, or one-time / move-out). The cleaner works out the schedule and pricing with you. Hudson Ally only makes the introduction.
